A group of Inbound Rye students gathered in Nevada City for the weekend of
April 12-14.
The students began their weekend in Nevada City with a
welcome dinner on Friday night, a very festive evening! On Saturday morning
they were off to play disc golf at Condon Park, enjoy a picnic lunch, then off
to Empire Mine with a stop on the way at Baskin Robbins for ice cream. After
touring the mine they had about an hour of shopping and sightseeing in Nevada
City, then home to get ready for Sat. evening dance. The party was held at the
Robertson's barn, and was fabulous. The sponsoring rotary clubs splurged on a
DJ and the kids danced, played pool and basketball, and just visited. A few
students from Nevada Union High's Interact and International clubs joined the
party. It was a great evening! Sunday morning was brunch and literally dozens
of pictures, then fond farewells all around. It truly was a wonderful weekend
and enjoyed by all.
