NEW GENERATIONS EXCHANGE

also known as the

YOUNG ADULTS EXCHANGE

The New Generations Exchange (NGE) is a short term exchange for young adults ages 18-25.  Lasting three to six weeks, NG exchanges are for recent high school graduates, college and university students, and young professionals.  The District 5190 NGE is a vocational exchange designed to introduce the participants vocations similar to their chosen vocation (or profession) in an other country.  Participants live with local Rotarian hosts or non-Rotarian hosts who are working with the Rotary NGE program.  While in their host country, participants will spend time observing and/or interning in a local business, profession or other vocational setting.  District 5190 NGE participants receive an orientation before they go on their exchange.

New Generations Exchange participants attend Rotary meetings and will join local Rotarians for social and cultural activities.  NGE participants will also attend Rotaract meeting, if there is a Rotaract club in their host city.

The NGE program is an exchange between Rotary District 5190 and partner Rotary Districts.   Currently District 5190 exchanges with Brazil, Thailand, and Taiwan.  A New Generations Exchange can consist of 1 - 3 participants going on exchange at together, with an equal number coming to District 5190.
